The Doctor and The Deputy

remember with great enthusiasm and love the movie The Doctor with William Hurt . A film of 1991. I was in the third year of medicine and just how dramatic that is envisioned to be the patient's shoes. Especially when terrible news comes that says you're not going to live, a real instinct for survival and defense flows through our veins again. Put
you all the suffering that goes through the minds of our patients, all the agony to think that their plans fall apart by a terrible news. You may not see their children grow, they will not see their projects, etc..
interesting thing about this film was that the same doctor had to go through all the cold and calculating processes of their colleagues, had the opportunity to experience firsthand the suffering, courage and challenge of being a patient. One thing is certain, we will all be patients one day. The doctor suffered a severe change after heal and return to their activities, concluded with empathy and sympathy for their patients.

What does this do to our legislators?
certainly made me think it would be very useful for our system health that our lawmakers passed a similar experience from time to time as does an ordinary person. And I do not mean cancer or suffering from any disease obviously would not wish harm on anyone, but to be seen in the public health system, is IMSS, ISSSTE or Ministry of Health.
How many of them do? Is not it good enough for them, the health system as it is today? Do not speed up the process and started as they were at the bottom of the barrel?
I know that the issue of treasury money and budget is always a complex issue.
also I bear witness that we are working on the issue with national plans health with great effort carried out by the authorities, both state and federal, and know the problem. But I think they need more help and attention of our Members, who would realize and accelerate the process if they lived firsthand the shortcomings (which exist, but close our eyes) of the various health sectors.

Not to mention the huge costs they represent (for the taxpayer) SGMM their policies, just the House of Representatives in the last legislature spent about 200 million dollars for major medical expenses. It is also fair to say that some Members have resigned themselves to it (but need to know whether or not serving in public health systems). The note is of journalist Carlos Puig and you can see here .

No, the proposal is not populist, but realistic. It is obviously a simple proposal for a private citizen who may at any time make use of these health services.
